Sweet Mei

My niece will have her 4th surgery this morning. I worry for her and the family. It's second nature for me to be comforting, reassuring, and supportive for friends during hard times. But when its me or my family, I'm not as clear minded or confident. Thats when I too, seek out support from others.

God give us strength and understanding and send us the angels needed to get through these times.

My Favorite Thing

This is hard. Though I love many things, and I had to pick just one. I'd say I love my recorder. I use it for affirmations and prayers. I also have an MP3 player on it which I use to download workout music. I also use it to record AP lectures. I use my recorder at least twice day. It is so thin and compact. I doesn't get in my way when I work out. I listen to my evening meditation right before I go to bed. I love it!!! I would highly recommend it.

30 is not so bad

I had a wonderful birthday yesterday. It had been a long time since I had been out. So I was long overdue for a night out. I turned 30 yesterday and received funny messages, birthday wishes, talked to many friends, got my hair done, and had a great time at the Pub last night. The band was awesome, they gave me a few "shout outs" , and sang me Happy Birthday, Poo Live Crew style. I did alot of laughing, and hung out with friends I hadn't seen in years. And my dearest friend, who never goes out, went out to celebrate with me. She made all the difference in the world. She loves to suprise me, embarrass me in a good way, and kept me laughing taking crazy pictures. And even though I had tons of fun, there is no way in the world I could choose a "party life" over the life I have now. Last night I missed my kids. They are out staying with their uncle, aunt, and cousin for a few days. I came home last night to a decorated doorway, over the hill gifts in my mailbox, and got showered with glitter as I open the screen door. After a night of drinking, I was not expecting that! Going to bed last night, I felt so thankful for the blessings they have brought into my life. I woke up early this morning after being out late last night, because the house is quiet. I thank God for all I have and most importantly the ones who love and support me. My dear friend who has been with me through the good and bad times since my childhood in church and cathecism. Always grateful.

Spring Break

This week I will be finishing out the rest of my scheduled readings. I will finally start break next week. I will stay focused on my top priorities and practice the law of giving and receiving, (offering one free reading a month). This should make my schedule less stressful until I am done with school. This week is MidTerms week. I think I will do great for my tests. I am more of a devoted student this semester than I was last semester. I will be glad when this week is over.
(This pic above is The Chicago River its dyed green each year for the St. Patrick's Day celebration. I can actually say I've been there, last year for my birthday weekend.)
